Drum Lab signs MOU with Agilent

National University of Singapore and Agilent Technologies to Collaborate on Bioanalytical Studies

 

SINGAPORE, Jan. 27, 2015

National University of Singapore (NUS) and Agilent Technologies Singapore Pte. Ltd. today signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), to promote and develop a novel analytical biochemistry testing standards in pharmaceuticals for use in the clinics.

Under the terms of the MoU, NUS will be given access to the Agilent Proof of Concept Lab, which is equipped with the latest range of bio-analytical equipment, including the high resolution Agilent Liquid Chromatography Quadrupole Time-of-Flight (LC-Q-TOF). The Agilent Proof of Concept Lab is situated within the NUS premise.

The broad range of technologies available will, ultimately, aid the development of new analytics for personalized patient care,” said Assistant Professor Chester Drum, of the Cardiovascular Research Institute (CVRI), Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine and National University Heart Centre, Singapore (NUHCS) . “Consideration of the patient as an individual, rather than a statistic, is where we will see the next innovations in cardiovascular medicine.”
